11/9 - Challenge: Night Lights

Home, Ainsley's Room

This time of year this is what passes for a Night Light in our house. Ainsley even gets her own tree.
My mother will be happy and interested to know that this tree is covered in all the ornaments she
collected or made for me (plus those from a couple of wonderful aunts, Ainsley's namesake among
them). And no, it is not too early to start decorating for Christmas. When you like it as much as my
wife you have a lot of it and there is just no way to get it all up starting after Thanksgiving. :)

Pretty tree. Sweet memories. Nice shot.

Lovely shot! I would have LOVED to have my own Christmas tree in my room when I was little.

I passed a house last night that was already fully decorated for Christmas.
When you think about it, it makes good sense to start early.
It feels strange to take down elaborate decorations that have only been up for a few weeks.

The story of this tree is so touching and beautiful that I almost forget to comment on how good the picture is- and it is a great shot. Love the angle and of course, the soft light (you know me). Now that being said, the fact that your daughter's first Christmas tree is full of your child hood ornaments is about the sweetest thing I have ever heard. Your family ties are so stong, well done!

Wow, a Christmas tree already, I guess it is getting closer. I have a feeling that your first Christmas with Ainsley is going to be so much fun and very special for all of you!
It is so wonderful that you are passing down the ornaments that your mother gave to you.
