This is the view that George Washington had of the Potomac River from the backyard of his beloved
Mt Vernon. I was struck by the fact that with the exception of the natural growth of the trees on the
grounds, George would completely recognize this scene today as there is almost nothing man made in it
that is new or different from his life time.
This is 9 shots stitched together and while I am not 100% pleased with the outcome, I am thinking
it isn't bad for doing this without a tripod and using the old camera which was giving me metering issues.
