The Chinatown in Manila is over 400 years old, about twice as old as the next oldest Chinatown worldwide. Formed shortly after Spain colonized the Philippines, it has since integrated itself into Filipino society while preserving much of its oriental charm. Last weekend, I took a walking tour run by some fine folks at Old Manila Walks. Fun and educational, it was also an eating tour as we stopped six times to sample Chinese snacks along the way. If you want an inside look into Chinatown in Manila, this 3 hour tour will be time well spent. Look for Ivan, he's the funny man in the picture above. Highly Recommended. Enjoy.
