Our 7th photo safari brought us to North-eastern Luzon, west of the imposing Sierra Madres mountain range, to a plain found within a valley, to a place called Cagayan. Once there, we were surrounded by corn and rice fields as far as our eyes can see. From Tuguegarao, we followed the mighty Cagayan River northward, shooting the bats and caves in Penablanca, farmers working their fields in Igig and Buguey, a side-trip to the shoretown of Sta. Ana before jumping off to Palaui Island, then back again to following the Cagayan river, until it opened up to the Pacific Ocean beside the much-storied town of Aparri. We came looking for sunrise and sunsets, but unfortunately the weather had its own plans. We had to work extra hard for our pictures, but in the end most of us thought we did just fine. Enjoy. (Under Construction... come back to see more photos...)
