The long pointed beaks of kookaburras make hand-feeding them a bit dicey. I used to feed them on my hand but their beaks are razor sharp not only at the point but on the sides as well. One gave me a slight cut while I was holding a bowl of food. So, I have come up with the Asian solution: chopsticks. In no time I could get them to take to the air and grab their takeaway food on the wing. Now these birds say to me: We'll have the like soup no 5, and an order of minced meat and fresh chicken slices, —raw not stir fried, and hold the MSG.
