Divisoria! Manila's famous, rambunctious market. My mother used to shop here from pre WWII days. Goods don't come any cheaper than in Divisoria. Nowadays you will find toys, clothing and fashion accessories from China along with pirated top quality Hollywood DVDs (80 pesos each) and audio MP3s & CDs (100 pesos each), as well as fruits, meat, vegetables, hot food, —just about anything really including reading glasses for 50 pesos. Those who sport smart clothes for a song will proudly tell you they purchased them at "Rue de l'div. It's crawling with characters. Divisoria teems with life. You have to watch your pocketbook and your back, but everyone is all smiles and ooozing with charm. Call it dirty, call it dangerous, Divisoria is a very happy place where you will always find a bargain.
