Capturing flight on camera is a creative challenge. Since you don't know what the subject will do precisely, you have no time to compose your shot. The element of chance. Serendipity. The shutter of the digital camera is a bit slow off the mark, so you have to anticipate and react before Cartier Bresson's famous "decisive moment". The following swished past my backyard: a Red Wattle bird dives down for food, Rainbow Lorrikeets taking wing towards me, and a Noisy Miner in full flight. More to come on this flight series.
