Angel, one of Momma Kitty's babies got separated from the rest of the litter, and when we captured her and the 3 babies, Angel was left to fend for herself. Amazingly, we found her 4 days later on our front door sill, quite a distance from our rear deck where Momma Kitty had been keeping the litter. How she survived 4 days and 4 nights in the cold temps and possible predators, we can't imagine. We brought Angel in to Momma Kitty, but she rejected her. I'm told that the babies scent was wrong and Momma no longer knew she was her baby.

This tiny 4 week old totally accepted her first contact with humans, with little resistance, and adapted quickly to her new home in our 1/2 bath. We gave her KRM and canned food, which she readily accepted. After the first week, we introduced her to a larger area to explore for short periods and she bravely explores with no fear of the normal household sounds that frighten kitties. Our Ragdoll cat, Chloe, babysits Angel when she is out meandering around and keeps close tabs on her for me. Our 2 other cats are starting to play with her, mindful of her small size, however, she can hold her own in a spatting episode. :)
