If you look closely, you can see bits of the grape jam on his beak. I was instructed to get a quality grape jam (Welch's), not jelly, for the orioles. The jam has grape pulp and is much more substantive and manageable for them to eat without sliding out of their beak as jelly would do. And.....they seem to love the jam. I keep all the jam cups filled with fresh jam each day. The oranges and jam are welcome treats, along with a homemade sugar nectar and much easier than searching for insects.
