I'm not an astronomer, but looking at your images makes me want to become one. I don't know anything about telescopes, but I'm curious if you can tell me what the equivalent zoom length would be on a typical 35mm camera that would equal the magnification in these images. Wow !! Bob, I must say that your images are incredible, and among (if not THE) the best images I've ever seen with an 8" !! Even with bigger scopes (10' or more).
I'm an astrophotographer myself, but only once or twice I had the chance of having 6-7/10 seeing at my location, something that I belive are your minimal or average seeing conditions. It's just incredible that one can image details so small with such a small instrument ! Once again "INCREDIBLE" is the word that can discribe your work ! Clear skies and excellent seeing !
