Beaumont L, the dark-halo craterlet above the upper left corner of the large black rectangle in the photograph's lower right corner, seems to show some sort of color anomaly, according to the orbital observations of the crew of Apollo 14.
In the 'Apollo 14 Preliminary Science Report' it (Beaumont L) is desribed as being a distinct rusty colored craterlet (rusty colored bands, and brownish hue on the craterlet's floor).
I wonder if this color anomaly is observable from Earth (through powerful telescope, color-sensitive eye or digital camera).

Danny.
