Petavius (center) & Rheita Valley

The so-called Rheita Valley is in the upper right. This is really a chain of overlapping craters caused by ejecta from the impact that caused the Mare Nectaris basin (the edge of which is just visible at bottom center right) to be created. It's hard to imagine the impact that could hurl chunks of moon crust the size of mountains hundreds of miles away.
