January is done! - January 31

Well this POTD thing is tougher than I thought.
Some of these photos would normally not have made it onto this site and others turned out quite well.

Who knows what February will bring?

Photo notes: Used the 580EX flash bounced off the ceiling. Took a lot of pictures before I got one I liked.
Ended up using the 85mm F1.8 again.
BTW: Wide angle lenses make you look goofy, which I knew but had to try anyway.

Thats a pretty good self-portrait. The lighting is great. The piece of the (I'm assuming) umbrella in the upper right and the (again I'm assuming) black stand in the left are distracting, but other than that, nicely done. I've noticed in a lot of your POTD images you seem to nail exposure really well, especially with flash.
