Received a new lens from Canon. It works perfectly! Pictures soon.

I have sent the lens in for calibration.

Hi Gary, thanks for your comments. I do like the range of the 17-40, but I am not impressed with anything taken under F8. At F4 it seems excessively soft and am thinking of sending it in. For the time being it can serve as an outdoor walk-around lens.

I like your images, sharp and clear.
How do you like the 17-40L?
I have gone back and fourth on that lens.
