On August 19,2017 I flew my home-built airplane to a small gravel airstrip on the Owyhee Reservoir in eastern Oregon.
There I met friends from the Washington Seaplane Association the following day.
On Monday the 21st. I hitched a ride with friends Don, Nat, and Juan to Unity Reservoir, about 75 miles North to view the eclipse.
All together 14 seaplanes converged at Unity in a period of about an hour to view the eclipse.
