Aellopos tantalus (7847)is the only Aellopos species found in peninsular Florida.
All the records of A. fadus, A. titan, and A. clavipes in peninsular, especially south Florida, are spurious. Jim Tuttle has a newer book on Sphinx moths.
He reared all the USA species.
