Born in 1965 and raised in Colombia, South America. He developed his artistic ability at a very young age. Influenced by the great Colombian masters like Botero, Obregon, Villegas, Cogollo.
Self taught, the commercial success of his initial paintings afforded him the luxury of a later education at the school of Bellas Artes in Cartagena, Colombia.
Billy Monsalve Duffo’s art has now been spreading around the world for more than two decades. His works can be found in exclusives collections from Miami to New York or Madrid and in the homes of some of the most influential art collectors.
Thru the years his works have been displayed in numerous galleries in South America, North America and Europe. He has been featured in several art world publications and national newspapers.
His very distinct and individual style is earning him a growing reputation around the world.
