Wieliczka

15 km southeast of Krakow, the World Heritage listed Wielczka Salt Mine had been in operation for over 700 years. Tourists descend as deep as 135m below ground and view numerous carved statues, monuments and the Chapel of Saint Kinga.

Thanks for these nice rememberings.I was there about ten years ago with Polish friends,but I had no digitalcamera,only a film camera,and you know it is very difficult to take night shots with film camera without using a tripod.I enjoyed this tour very much.
