Juyong Guan

(From Peter N-H at Thorntree) The most interesting part is just out of the shot to the left. This is the Yun Tai, or 'cloud platform', on top of which once stood three pagodas. This stone base is very finely carved with Buddhas, the four heavenly kings, and material in six languages including the rarely seen feathery script of the Xi Xia people. Unlike the rest of what's here, the Yun Tai is genuninely old, dating from 1342.
