Boston Whaler Restore

This is the beginning of what will be a tedious but rewarding restoration of our family's Boston Whaler Nauset. "After" pictures are a year away, maybe two.

I appreciate your interest in these classic Whalers, and thanks for the compliments! I started with no knowledge at all about restoration, and have learned quite a bit from others who are willing to share their experience. I hope to see you guys on the water one day, sporting about in our "unsinkable legends."

Hi Bruce
I can really appreciate the work that went into this project. I am in the process of doing the same thing to my 61 Nauset.I too saved the original wood and with some necessary mods, it turned out pretty good. I am thinking about installing a bimini this spring and I was curious about the size of yours, height mainly. I would mount it on the lower gunnel or shelf and would like it to fold forward like yours does. If you could fill me in on that item I would appreciate it.
