The female is pinioned and was given to us by a friend. A year later, a wild male came and mated to her. They have been living peaceably and raising offspring each year. I will post some of the cignets next spring if all goes well that way. Beyond their playful beauty, photographing them has become good practice with the new digital camera, a Canon 20D.
