The deadline for monochrome images to be entered in the NECCC Monochrome Challenge is Friday, April 11th.
They should be sized no wider than 1024 pixels wide and no higher than 768 pixels tall no matter the image orientation. Please send images that were not entered in previous years' monochrome competitions, however anything submitted to this year's BMCC and the other NECCC competitions are eligible.
They must comply with the PSA definition of monochrome which is a single color on a white background. Many images will be shades of gray on a white background (black and white), but any single color such as sepia on a white background is also acceptable. A black and white image with a second highlight color is NOT acceptable. Realistic images as well as creative images (for example infrared images) are all welcome.
There is no pre-competition this time, no judging by our own club members, all of the images I receive will be sent off to NECCC for possible inclusion in the Council Challenge. NECCC decides which images they will send on to the PSA Challenge.
