Granada, in andalucia, southern spain, was the home of the last of the moorish kings who ruled spain from the 8th to 12th centuries. the alhambra palace there is an amazing testament to the aesthetic and architectural heights achieved by the moors in southern spain. oh, and when you go to a tapas bar there, you order a beer, and they give you tapas for FREE. wow.
