Hi Rick & Nancy, Thanks for the kind words about Mars....... shooting in Alt/Az mode is challenging. Noel ( the cat ) said she would hold very still, so focus was not too much of a problem.....it was more difficult finding the RA and DEC position in my Autostar to get the scope to slew in her direction, something about "Target below horizon" :~)

How did you get the cat in focus with your LX? :) Great shot of Mars nice detail of the Poalr Cap region without washing out the surface details. Rick
