Orange 'Ohi'a Blossom

Pu'u O'o Trail

A relatively rare day-glow orange 'ohi'a blossom. There are a few orange 'ohi'a in the forests along Pu'u O'o Trail near Saddle Road.

There's a beautiful specimen at the Subaru sponsored building off the Hwy near UH Hilo. I wish I could be more specific. But here's a shot of the flower in the graden of native flowers they have.
