It's an outplanted and tagged t. kavaiensis. I don't think I've ever seen a wild one. Tetraplasandras seem to be really variable - photos from other islands and the ones we saw on West Maui often look very different than the ones I see on Hawai'i.

Are you sure this isnt a neleau? the T. Kavaiensis ive encountered on kaua'i look entirely differnt. super thick and fury.
