Creepers from Kipuka 'Ainahou, off Pu'u O'o Trail.

Most of the time I have found a creeper in the forests on either side of the first meadow along the trail. They are always far off the trail. Other people usually talk about finding creepers in the last kipuka before the 1880/1 lava field, but I have only seen a creeper there once or twice over the years. I am uncertain how many individuals there are - I have seen a single bird frequently.

I most recently found the male in the usual area on 4/17/2011 - mostly making 'amakihi trills!
