NGC 1893 / IC 410

NGC is a very young (4 million years) open cluster in
Augiga. It is surrounded by, and causes to glow, the
remains of the hydrogen cloud (IC 410) from which these
stars formed. New stars are probably still forming in
this cloud, and will eventually blow away the remaining
gas, leaving only the star cluster behind. NGC 1893
is about 1200 light years from earth. For a different
view of this same object, see the "DSI" gallery.
