M 105

M 105 is the one at the upper left of the three central galaxies
in this image. It is a typical example of an elliptical galaxy.
At the bottom of that galactic triangle is another elliptical galaxy, NGC 3384.
Both of these belong to the same cluster of galaxies, about 38 million
light years away. The galaxy on the right is a spiral galaxy
that is a background object, NGC 3389. Numerous other galaxies are
visible throughout the image.
