M 94

M 94 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes
Venatici. It has an unusually bright core, ringed
by an area of intense new star formation. The surrounding
disk is made up of mainly older stars. Finally, there is
a faint outer ring where more new stars are being formed.
