NGC 6520 is an open star cluster in the constellation Sagittarius.
The hot blue stars of this young cluster lie in front of the dense
field of stars as we look toward the center of the galaxy.
Near the cluster is the dark nebula Barnard 86 (sometimes called
"The Deadman's Chest Nebula"), an area of dense dust and gas
that blocks the light from stars behind it.
