Daffodils in Snow

This was shot three days ago and is the same cluster of daffodiles shot a few days before that when things were a bit warmer. See:

If the cold of the last few days didn't kill it, it sure kept it from growing very much. We have about 7-8 inches now from what I can see outside.

It looks like spring is in the air for you, and we are having a few hints of autumn. Great light and colour in this one, and excellent exposure for the snow.

Exciting capatures. Hope they are hearty! Your earlier picture gave me the idea of the one I got later. Blessings, Carol

A sign of hope. Mine are coming up too. I hope they survive the freeze. Nice lighting on this.

We didn't get alot here in Knoxville. Beautiful shot!! Those daffodils are pretty hardy fellas. In West Virginia, they make it through the weather extremes fairly well.

:( Mine are buried DEEP! :(
Maybe it'll make them al the more beautiful pushing aside all the snow.

Such a wonderful lighting you've got here Buz, with shadows and the bluish color on the background, the snow is also a great plus on the image :) I can't wait to see this plant with flower bloomed :) Gets my vote.

Nice shot! Gives me hope... Isn't that new, almost transparent green a true joy to man. After this winter I sure could need a daffodil showing a bit of green. Probably I want see it until april...
Guest 12-Feb-2006 15:53
Nice image and comparison, I can not beleive this winter, we have had very little snow here and everyone else around the country is getting snow...

Nice shot. The brown leaves and the green shoots are truly nature. Nothing prettier than the new sprouts from a bulb.
Guest 12-Feb-2006 13:59
Love this shot Buz. Sometimes the picture depicting future beauty can be even more powerful than the finished result. This is really beautiful
