Many of the trees in the lower elevations suffered somewhat from the heat and lack of rain. While there are enough remaining leaves to provide a nice autumn, it is several days off. The trees have some yellow but look haggard. The best opportunity for signs of autumn yesterday was to look in the stream beds.
