Old Trees Along Stream

After months of summer afternoon rains, some of the creek side trees take on the appearance of a deciduous rainforest. Over winter the mosses lay dormant beneath the snows and in spring they provide a rich green carpet for the early blooming flowers. They find footing on stones, trees and naturally the rich soils of the park.

Or should this one be framed?

I have mixed emotions about framing, so that's up to you. :) This is a wonderful photo - great detail. v

I like to see it without the frame. The frame helps to see what the final print could look like on the wall but this is so nice and distraction free. Truly beautiful! Wonderful trunk character. The moss is so saturated. Perfect light. Vote!

It really does look more like a rain forest than the Smokies. Nice lush greens.

I usually like frames on them, but this one has so many elements for the eye to look at, that I don't think it needs a frame. I love the bright greens of the moss and the touches of orange.
