Headrick Cemetery-framed.jpg

This cemetery sits aside the historical Headrick's Chapel on Hwy. 321 in Wears Valley. The valley, in reality a cove, is located midway between Pigeon Forge and Townsend on the Tennessee side of the park. Because of its scenic beauty it was originally slated for inclusion in the national park but at the time the state of Tennessee did not have sufficient funds available to expropriate the land.

I know I'm a little late for this one but I've never really been on time to anything. The metaphor is very loud and clear here in this well composed image. V
