This marble is named after the Japanese warrior's helmet, the Kabuto, which I LOVE because it's so appropriate for the design, layout and feel of this marble!! The dot stacking is magnificent on this one, with wildly complex and exotic stacks all over the marble. It's a very colorful example of Yoshi's work also. The marble really has bling to go with it as well, with 8 opals total throughout the piece. There are 4 triangular opals in the very center of the marble, arranged into another triangle pattern (the control to be able to pull that off so cleanly is insane!), and then 3 square opals on the outside, one per triangulant (I think I just made up that word, but I don't know why it's not a word since we have the word quadrant). The 8th opal is Yoshi's signature opal, sitting on top of one of the square opals. There is so much to see and explore in this nice sized masterpiece from Yoshi, with wonderful flow throughout. It's an amazing marble to start or enhance your Kondo collection!! Signed with Yoshi's signature opal and the year '14' in ti pen.
