Gibson was one of the early pioneers in our art glass marble movement, and sadly he has passed on now. His snake skin style of marble, like this one, are what he was most famous for and he really perfected the technique, producing many wonderful color combinations with the familiar snake skin pattern out of soft glass in the furnace. I fell in love with one of these during my first couple of weeks of collecting in 2003, had to have it, and I still love that marble. I went on to buy many more in the years since as it is one of my favorite marble designs - simple, beautiful and fun. I only wish they were still being made, such beauty and flow in this glass!
