Caitlin is a well known glass artist who lives in Corning, NY and has been making flameworked glass beads and small sculpture since 1996. She teaches workshops at The Corning Museum of Glass and across the country. As far as I know she very, very rarely makes marbles and her Man in the Moon marbles came from back in the 2005-06 time frame (one of which resides in my collection). I've only seen 3 in existence, but could be a few more out there. Needless to say, this is a super rare chance to purchase a piece like this by Caitlin. The sculpting work in the moon face is spot on, EXACTLY like what I imagine the man in the moon to look like, ha! This is sweet work using that wonderful creamy ivory style glass that I really love.
