The Youghiogheny Glass company mainly deals in stained glass today, but in the late 90's and early 2000's they made beautiful paperweights and sculpture as well. From what I've been able to ascertain, an artist named Steve Fenstermacher made most of their sculptural/pw work, so this one was probably made by Steve. And holy moly, did he ever nail it with this piece!! It features sparkly gold veiling tech inside, wrapped around a perfect air trap, and then opalescent magenta color worked on to the outside of the piece to give absolutely gorgeous coloring throughout the piece as the light plays with it in different ways. It is faceted on both sides for your viewing pleasure, and trust me, this piece will bring you pleasure! Hard one to let go of.... Signed 'Youghiogheny 2005'.
