Brian King: "Dance of Draconis" Size: 1.64" Price: SOLD

Brian was one of the original founders of the company that created the famous Draconis glass, the super satiny glass beloved by artists and collectors alike. The satin colors that Draconis created are comprised of micro sparkle components that give the glass a true satin look, incredible beautiful, and hard to truly describe without you seeing it in person. Unfortunately that company stopped producing glass around a decade ago, and there wasn't a lot of it made to begin with, so it is rare and highly sought after. It's easily my personal favorite glass that has ever been created, and I LOOOOVE every marble I own that has some of it incorporated into the design. To date those glass recipes have not been recreated, although I know who has the recipes, so maybe one day? We shall see, it's not easy. In the meantime, this original Draconis glass is the stuff of legend and something you'll want an example of in your collection. Brian was also a glassblower and so made a number of marbles himself back in the early 2000's, but there aren't a lot of them out there, and most of you have probably never seen one come available. Brian used a silvery blue satin for this marble, creating a reversal pattern with the Draconis. It is stunningly beautiful in hand! Signed 'King 11/05'.
