Chris Rice went by the nickname 'Pan' in the early days of his marble making career, and signed his marbles this way. This is an earlier marble from Chris, made in 2003, one of his astounding 5-way Vortex designs.
"5 Ways to Disappear"
Bold, beautiful colors snake down into this main vortex.
Beautiful sparkly red pinwheeling highlights the backside of the marble.
4 smaller vortexes are on the side of the marble, surrounding the main vortex. HOW does he DO that?
A small 'as-made' blemish on the surface can be seen on the right side of this little vortex.
Tiny bubbles! There's a whole little nest of them down in the bottom of the vortex, sweet!
You don't find many marbles this complex for sale....
Beautiful coloring on the backside.
Fantastic pinwheeling, signed "Pan '03", an awesome example of Chris' earlier work.
Closeups of the 4 mini-vortexes that surround the main vortex.
There are two red and two yellow vortexes.
All nicely done - this is a fun marble to explore!
