I'm pleased to announce that I was able to acquire an extremely rare group of marbles from the American studio glass legend Randy Strong! Randy was one of the early pioneers of the American Studio Art Glass movement back in the 70's and has been blowing glass for well over 5 decades now. He worked early on with Dale Chihuly and helped choose the location for the Pilchuk Glass School. He ran his own independent glass studio from 1972 until it shut down in 2014, but he still occasionally works in his glass shop to this day, making special pieces. His work is in museums all over the world, including Corning. These marbles here feature a lot of his classic design elements, including lots of dichro, air traps, and various murrine and millie he created, including hearts in many of the pieces. These are fun pieces of art glass history, and a VERY rare opportunity to get a marble by Randy. These marbles were all custom requested, so I'm not sure there are any others out there, as I've certainly never seen any. Get one or more of these gems into the colletion!
