You are looking at one of two pinnacle pieces in the careers of both Junichi and Kousuke, because this Rose Roads x Kinoko Heads (Kousuke Oyama) collab is the ultimate in what they've created to this point. I picked up this perfectionary cab from Jun at the Team Japan show in late May, then handed it over to Kousuke while I was there so that he could work his leather magic with it. The cab is slightly smaller than most full size cabs, but still big enough that I'd hate to call it 'medium' sized. Kousuke knew I wanted him to stretch it to the limits with these, so he made what he considers his finest two pieces to date for me. I think if you'll look closely at the pics, you'll agree that these creations are artistic perfection, with the leather work matching the pattern of Jun's cab. And what an amazing cab it is, WOW!!! What Kousuke is now trying to do is to really match the design of his leather work to the theme of the cab he is encasing with the leather. This piece truly displays that concept exceptionally, as he actually worked the leather into shapes you probably didn't think could happen before this piece! This is history right here, artistic beauty coming from an artist who is doing something that literally NOBODY ELSE on the planet knows how to do, since he has developed this technique himself. The process is massive and time consuming, and as is typical of the Japanese, he is doing something that few people would have the patience and wherewithal to accomplish. This is just truly amazing work here, and you have a chance to own something that will be cherished for literally generations and centuries to come!!
