One of Ro's coolest creations, he made a VERY limited number of these special Christmas marbles back in 2016. This is one of those where I don't care if it ever sells, ha. Here's what Ro had to say about it back then: "Ro here with this years 'Santa in the Sky murrini' Objects de arte'. I don't think I've ever had a harder time photographing anything more than this marble. These pics don't even represent the marbles very well. There is a depth I can't capture and stars you can't see. I'll keep trying. I'll show several pics in hopes that you all will get an idea. There won't be many of these. I messed up about 3/4 of what Santa murrini I had to start with already. The clouds are white enamel applied with a pin on one of my shaped earth murrini and fired on. The Earth is floating away from the stars and Santa. There are stars on the back of the marble. These will all be very different from each other due to the number of steps and murrini used."
Funny, because I was gonna say the exact same thing about photographing these, sooo hard to capture it all well. It is just AWESOME in hand and so cool, that super deep space scene with the earth floating there, Santa and his reindeer flying overhead out in space, and stars and moon and comets and other things all around. As you spin it around and peer inside you can check it all out. Really brilliant glass work, the type of thing that only Ro can create. I love it! Signed with Ro's sig chip inside, 'Ro 16'.
