Noble Effort: "Rockacino #1" Size: 3.96" W x 2.72" H Price: SOLD

OK glass history fans, here is another very, VERY special opportunity to add a uniqe piece of glass history to your collection! You won't see something like this come along very often in your life, as these super sweet 'latticino glass rocks' are VERY rare. Back in the mid '80's, two of the world's most famous glass artists, Ro Purser and Richard Marquis, teamed together to form 'Noble Effort', and created some of the most unique glass art in history during that time, including these fascinating glass rocks.

If you're familiar with the Noble Effort Rocks, then you've probably seen both their 'filigrana cane' rocks and the iridescent rocks. These 'rocks' are completely hollow and are actually much lighter than they look like they would be as a result, but the walls of the glass are still thick enough that they feel quite sturdy. The hollow closure point has been covered on the underside of the rock with an extra piece of glass while it was still hot. Each 'Rockacino' as I like to call them is unique with its own selection of cane, including various colors and latticino styles, and then various pieces of Noble Effort millie, as well as some of their black and white 'snake cane' are laid on top of the whole design. The end result is magnificent, and while I do have several of these in my collection, I am literally tempted to keep every one of them I come across! This particular rock has some of the most beautiful cane I have seen yet in one of these, and I particularly love the pink cane, so delicate and wonderful.

This is glass history at it most unique and beautiful peak - catch some of it! Signed with signature milli slice '1986 Noble Effort' (with the copyright symbol!)
