Noble Effort: "Irridescent Rock" Size: 4.04" x 3.69" x 2.85" tall Price: SOLD

OK gang, here is another very, VERY special opportunity to add a uniqe piece of glass history to your collection. You won't see something like this come along very often in your life. Back in the early '80's, two of the world's most famous glass artists, Ro Purser and Richard Marquis, teamed together to form 'Noble Effort', and created some of the most unique glass art in history during that time, including their fascinating 'Glass Rocks'. Offered for sale here is one of those 'Glass Rocks'.

If you're familiar with the Noble Effort Rocks, then you've probably seen some examples of their 'filigrana cane' rocks. Most of their rocks are of this variety and aren't quite as hard to find, though still very rare. However, they also made a few irridescent rocks like this one, and they are as unique as glass art comes. As you will see in the pictures below, this rock has an irridescent surface that shines in beautiful pink and purple hues when it catches the lighting right. Waaaay better in hand! Sprinkled on to the surface of this rock is Noble Effort's very famous murrini and cane look which you often find on their vases, but not often on their rocks. You end up with a beautiful 'Glass Rock' which is unique in every way! These 'rocks' are hollow and are actually much lighter than they look like they would be as a result.

Glass history from one of its most unique and beautiful times - catch it!
