In 2009/2010, Ro Purser teamed up with Glass Eye Studio to design a group of marbles for the Cisco Systems Corporation. These marbles were given away for 5 year, 10 year, 15 year (etc.) awards to employees of the company - yeah, I know, why couldn't I work for Cisco?!? Employees were able to select the style of marbles they want for certain year awards. This marble here is one of the 15 year marbles and is EXTREMELY rare and very hard to find out in the wild - this is the only one of this style I've ever had for sale! There are 12 marbles in the series altogether, 2 for each 5 year period up to 30 years. The marbles also come with very attractive cherry wood cases made specially for these marbles, similar to the one pictured, plus a black baggie (not pictured) which the case slips into. A very nice presentation.

This particular marble has a twisted latticino cane, a classic furnace glass tech, and then other cane twisting around the marble. Easily my favorite marble of the bunch and it's nicely done, such a shame these are so hard to find. Don't miss this opportunity! These marbles are a major slice of history in the contemporary art glass marble movement, and every collection should strive to add at least one. Comes in a nice wooden display case with baggie.
