These cubes are some of my favorite non-marbles glass that is being made. Paul does furnace glass work and hence ends up with a lot of pieces and odds and ends, and those pieces end up in these cubical creations. They are worked into a concrete-type matrix, and the concrete itself has a lot of crushed clear glass in it to give it sparkle. He then cuts out a cube and bevels and polishes it, and the end result is SO awesome!! Paul also creates clear stands for them which the cube sits in, with one corner stuck down in the triangular hole. This particular cube has lots of color in it, and my favorite part is that it has a wormhole going all the way through it in one corner of the piece, top to bottom. This is from a large colorful transparent cane, and the effect is SERIOUSLY neat! You will loooove exploring this piece!
