This might be one of those marbles where you're curious about the price tag, but if you're like me and LOOOOVE the extremely unique and rare one of a kind marbles, then this one is for you! As far as I know, this is the first and only marble ever created that has steel shavings fused onto the surface! It was quite a process to bring this about which Peter described to me, so wild. It's not all over the surface, but only down in the grooves of the mandala pattern that Peter created and blasted on to the surface. Underneath all of that is a layer of gorgeous dichro. I think the pics look pretty cool, but still, they don't remotely compare to how AMAZING this marble looks in hand as you move it around. The steel crystals are sparkly, and then the dichro is stunning, and it's sooo magical as you twist and turn it around. This is a VERY hard marble to let go of, so don't wait until I change my mind, ha. Peter mentioned that you'll want to make sure you don't wash this marble or get it wet, because it would indeed rust. It's been handled and no signs of any of that yet after a period of time here, but you'll just want to be careful, and just dry it well and quickly if it does happen to get wet. Anyway, this marble is just fascinating, and sooooo crazy unique! Classic Boyle marble here for sure!
