This is THE borovirus masterpiece right here, the ultimate pinnacle in carved glass virus work...as only Nate could do, since he's the only one in the world doing it. It is a huge piece that has such wild detail. It's an amazing glass art piece, even if it didn't also have the cool connection to the whole world of Covid. The ends of each spike are worked, with little dimples in them. The entire surface of the piece is also worked. One of the hardest pieces from Nathan to ever let go of, I love this one SOOOO much!!!

I am proud to present more pieces from Nathan's Borovirus series! These hand carved marbles are a memorial to the 2019-2021 tragedy that was and is Covid19, the novel coronavirus that wreaked havoc across the world. As a collector, I absolutely love pieces of art that I have an emotional connection to, and these marbles have that in spades. It is a negative connection for sure, but this time period will be so indelibly imprinted on our brains that I really wanted something in my collection that would forever have an intimate connection for me between marbles and those bizarre and often tragic times. I was excited when Nathan created this new series of work, and even more excited when he agreed to make a group of them which I could offer to all of you originally, and now a second group. I hope you too will feel the connection between glass and our world around us, and be able to add one of these intriguing pieces to the collection! Each one is unique, with a colored blank made by glassblower Doug Whaley, which Nathan then painstakingly carved into the Borovirus form.
